Editor’s Note: This article originally claimed Jupiter Paulsen died on June 8th – however, this was when she was declared Brain Dead. Her actual date of death was June 13th. The article has been edited to reflect this. We at Amerikaner.org apologize for the error.
Daisy ‘Jupiter’ Paulsen (14) was skateboarding on her way to her job around 6:30 in the morning of June 4th 2021, a Friday. She was stopping by her mother’s house to grab her work clothes.
In the parking lot of 4340 13th Ave SW, Arthur ‘Prince’ Kollie (23), a Liberian Immigrant, in an attack which lasted over 25 minutes and that was partially seen by surveillance cameras, stabbed Jupiter over 20 times.
The arrival of a garbage truck caused Kollie to flee. With Jupiter’s backpack, phone, and wallet he headed northwest to a nearby local Wal-Mart where again he is seen on camera, this time stealing something to change into, leaving some of his blood soaked clothes behind.
The Sanitation worker, Patrick Peterson, who attempted life saving measures on Jupiter, reported he saw Kollie leaning over Jupiter with one hand on her nose and another on her throat. Kollie was picked up later that day with cuts still fresh on his hands, now in downtown Fargo. He was charged with attempted murder, robbery, and aggravated assault. After being charged Kollie had said “Attempted murder? As is she alive or what? What does attempted murder mean?”
“Attempted murder? As is she alive or what? What does attempted murder mean?”
Arthur Kollie, Jupiter Paulsen’s Murderer
He admitted to walking in the area at the time of the attack, while also alleging that he has multiple personality disorder, and had not slept since taking meth the day prior.
Jupiter was taken to the hospital. Four days she lay in a coma. Surgery for her injuries stabilized her from the neck down but damage to her brain caused by the strangulation was too severe.
Surrounded by her family, Jupiter was declared brain dead Tuesday, June 8th – the time of death on her death certificate is June 13th. The cause of death was ruled asphyxiation by strangulation complicated by multiple sharp force injuries.
Author’s Note: Jupiter had written a beautiful poem, ‘Rain’, where she expressed the desire to become the rain. A transcript for the poem can be found in an earlier article published by Gordon Kahl. The night Jupiter died a rainstorm knocked out power in half the town. This was while Fargo was experiencing drought like conditions. It’s this author’s belief that Jupiter became the rain that night and that storm never ended.
Officers found Jupiter’s backpacks, her ID, and Kollie’s blood-stained white shirt in a dumpster a few blocks south of the attack. The knife was found in another dumpster nearby. Kollie had used the showers at the truck stop across the street.
Formerly of the High Plains Reader, an ultra Zionist publication, C.S. Hagen now with the equally despicable outlet the Fargo Forum manipulated the family into phony PR events where he lead the conversation towards anything but seeking justice for Jupiter’s murder. Calling for healing while the body is still cold. Pacifying any righteous anger that might rise up.
Several calls were made to local media in an attempt to get them to properly cover the tragedy.
Conservative Zionists Rob Port, at the Forum, and Scott Hennen at AM 1100 The Flag, spun the Jupiter case to suit their ideological ends as well. Minimizing the situation and blaming government policy for the act, then concluding we ought not have any policy at all. This, all to avoid discussing how the policies are purposely anti-White and how they, as Zionist toadies, are safe from diversity in their Ivory Dreidel-Shaped Towers. With clever sleight-of-hand, any pro-White sentiment is carefully directed towards pro-Police policies that perpetuate the status quo.
Rob Port, over at The Inforum, felt the need to write an entire Opinion article about how we shouldn’t let the brutal torture of a young girl cause any “knee-jerk policymaking.”
While in custody, Kollie pleaded not guilty to attacking a Cass County Jail guard. He stabbed a White corrections officer in the neck with a pencil. Three other guards were also attacked. Those charges were dropped and buried. All of Kollies’ victims were White.
Kollie was on probation for a 2017 assault on a police officer. May of 2021, just a month before Jupiter’s murder, Kollie plead guilty to discharging a firearm in city limits, possessing a firearm as a felon, and possessing drug paraphernalia. This sprang from a December 2020 arrest. He was sentenced to eight months supervised probation, and 27 days in jail, but was released immediately with time served.
Shortly after his release, he murdered Jupiter.
Kollie’s bail, after this brutal attack, was set at $100,000.
October 25th, Kollie pleaded not guilty. 30 minutes after that hearing, and after Jupiter’s family had left, Kollie asked to be seen by Judge Irby again. His request was granted. Kollie then withdrew his not guilty plea and made an Alford Plea instead. An Alford Plea means Kollie maintains his innocence despite believing the prosecution has enough evidence to convict him. Kollie said during that hearing he couldn’t recall what happened the day of June 4th, but he wanted to get help.
Apparently, he had no interest in getting Jupiter any help when he killed her. He could have asked the sanitation worker, after all.
Alford Pleas are civil rights era judicial precedent first used to save convicted murderer Henry Alford, a black man, from the death penalty.
The defense attorney at the time, Nicholas Thornton, declined to say why Kollie had changed his mind or if this was part of his strategy. Kollie later claimed this was against his attorney’s advice, implying Kollie was previously aware of the Alford plea option, which isn’t likely.
Sources from inside the courtroom say even police and the prosecutors barely made it back before the second proceeding had finished.
In early January 2022, Kollie changed lawyers from Nicholas Thornton to Eric Baumann.
January 18th, Judge Irby, after a four hour trial, allowed Kollie to withdraw his Alford plea. Kollie stated that a different personality made the pleas, but also he didn’t understand what it meant. He says he suffers from mental illness, including depression, anxiety, and voices in his head. He claimed he was innocent but no one would help him.
“I wasn’t Arthur that time, I was Prince.” Kollie said.
Baumann argued Kollie didn’t understand what pleading guilty meant, and that Kollie’s mental health could affect his competency. The mental health evaluation, however, found Kollie fit for trial. Kollie also scored a 10 on the “malingering” test, where a 6 indicates one is faking being crazy.
Prosecutor Ryan Younggren argued Kollie didn’t have a “fair and just” reason to withdraw his pleas, but that he only realized he could spend the rest of his life in jail. Federal Hate Crime charges would add the death penalty to the sentencing, but the prosecution is not pursuing them yet, and therefore is not even trying to punish Kollie to the fullest extent of the law.
Younggren, when asked why he thinks the court shouldn’t accept Kollies plea change merely stated that it would “waste the court’s resources” – but nothing about the court’s public perception being destroyed, or the community’s safety, is of any concern to him.
Whether or not anyone who knows Kollie and can attest to any anti-White animus Kollie displayed is also of no concern to prosecutor Youngren.
During this hearing, and according to sources inside the courtroom, Kollie was smiling and winking at Robert Paulsen, the father of the child he murdered in cold blood. Kollie laughed and smiled even harder when Robert was strong-armed by the court bailiffs, and warned he would have to leave if he couldn’t control himself. The behavior of court officers went unreported in local news.
Judge Irby ruled Kollie can change his plea, despite the aforementioned proof from the court-appointed psychologist that the murderer is lying about being mentally unsound.
Activist Response
On February 17th, Pro-White demonstrators gathered outside the Cass County Courthouse during the depositional hearing. Judge Irby ruled that Arthur Kollie must undergo a second mental health evaluation, paid for by North Dakota taxpayers. Again, Kollie smiled and winked at Jupiter’s Father.
Much of what took place at the demonstration and hearing was not reported by local media, and the rest was obfuscated. A call was placed to a local live radio show alerting people to the ‘Justice For Jupiter’ demonstration.
Shortly before the hearing, some time was spent behind the courthouse on 10th street, a busy one-way in Fargo. Signs were held up and music was played while people drove by and honked their horns to show support. While demonstrators made their way around to the front side of the court house, they were approached by a WDAY media reporter who asked if he may record. The demonstration was on public property.
Having made it to the front of the courthouse, the next portion of the demonstration began first by explaining to those present a summary of why they were there, and then a recording of Jupiter Paulsen reciting her poem, ‘The Rain’ was played.
This portion was rudely interrupted. One gentleman, seemingly making his way into the courthouse, first shouted to “turn down that crap,” before approaching the demonstrators in a hostile manner. The demonstrators were off to the side on a public sidewalk. He also remarked that he “didn’t care” if a hate crime or a murder was committed or not. This was not reported by the local media.
Next, while having just restarted the audio of the poem due to the first interruption, again the audio was interrupted. This time by a WDAY employee who had been there since the start and had just witnessed the previous events.
He insisted demonstrators be cordial with him, implying if they were not their story wouldn’t get out. He was told it wasn’t about the demonstrators but the murdered White girl whos poem he is purposely interrupting. After being denied an interview he packed up his camera and left.
The poem was again played this time without interruption.
After the poem, a more detailed summary of the horrific case was given, as well as specific demands. This was all summarized by the media merely as “frustration” with Judge Irby, but no explanation as to why.
Demonstrators explained how Judge Irby, The ADL-led law enforcement agencies, and the City of Fargo Commission, like Arthur Kollie, hate White people. Judge Irby and the rest were described to hold double standards as to how Whites and non-Whites should be treated under the law.
Demonstrators demanded hate crime charges, federal and municipal, be levied against Kollie, and any institution responsible for what happened to Jupiter. Anything less than a guilty plea was an injustice. They demanded Kollie be punished to the fullest extent of the law, which would include the death penalty if federal hate crime charges are on the table.
The local media did not report any of this. Instead, the media makes it look like this is the first mental health evaluation Arthur has received. They claim he didn’t say a word during court, but report nothing about his actions.
The next hearing is on April 21st.
We will update this story as events unfold.
