As bad as the unedited audio is for 254, I’m glad you released it. While I’m biased to agree with you* the unedited audio for 254 speaks to your honesty. There were multiple double facepalm moments and audio spikes during that episode, I haven’t heard that many audio issues in the many, many episodes you’ve released. This is one of the few episodes I’ve forwarded onto others. You’ve shown a lot of new topics to me aside from CI, and I think there are more things to discover yet. Please keep doing what you do. Saying the work you do alone is inspiring does not do it justice.
Shoutout to Antioch! I think he did a great job of representing CI. While I’d have liked for him to have a better grasp of scripture before debating, and I don’t agree with him, I could not have done better than him for arguing for anything I believe in, and he deserves credit for rising to the challenge. There’s a lot to be said for people being willing to stand up for what they believe in. If anyone in the CI camp has something better to say, I’d love to see it.
There were multiple points where the Godcast and Antioch were interrupting each other; this is due to wanting to specify or press points of weakness in an argument. This may have been better as a written debate, or having a non-biased arbiter to give each side time to speak (although in our circles, that’d be hard to come across). In future debates, much like what we’ve seen with debates Dr. Heiser has been in, we may need to ask that both parties write down their specific objections while the other party is speaking instead of interjecting mid-thought. If your thought is too long, then you need a more concise argument, simple ‘as.
*I’m a single-predestination Calvinist, PCA specifically. Ya’ll would likely demolish me in an argument. I’ve read 2 books on this (I loved James White’s “The Potters Freedom”), y’all do this for a living. That being said, I think as free will guys you had more work cut out than I would for answering the claims of CI, but you did a respectable job nonetheless. Well done!
