After 10 weeks of waiting, episode 300 is here! And with OG (Original Godcast) shop foreman Myles Poland heading the conversation we decided to do what we do best: spend a couple hours dunking on an anti-Christian goofball.

“You know what was happening when White people were following their nature? They were chasing pigs around Teutoburg forest.”
Any pagan encountering this is just going to feel like their convictions about Christianity and Christians have been validated. After all, Myles knows better. He just chooses to be dishonest. I know that the two of you think there’s nothing wrong with treating every non-Christian thing you read like it’s just obviously retarded, but behaving this way isn’t just childish. No, the worst part about it is that once you say something wrong with such an air of superiority it simply becomes impossible to take you seriously.
Myles ignores the complexities of ancient pagan societies and their beliefs because he thinks it makes for good polemics. It doesn’t. The truth of Christianity isn’t dependent on non-Christian societies being primitive or something, so why pretend they are or were? What does it matter if they didn’t build big marble cities like the Romans – who were also pagan, by the way. The Egyptians didn’t need Christ to build the pyramids. Of course none of this is a problem for the Christian who doesn’t make the argument that Christianity is some kind of magical civilizing force that Europeans would be nothing without.
“Look at how many educated people are race communists and tell me reason is the end-all-be-all.”
Look at how many people built houses that failed to stand and tell me that building shelter is worthwhile. What’s the issue here? Is it that building houses is impossible, or is it that some people go about it the wrong way? Faulty reasoning is hardly evidence that our reasoning faculties are fundamentally flawed.
“You can make logic say whatever the hell you want.”
No, you can’t. A logical argument that results in falsehood is just a flawed argument. What you’re trying to say is that people are capable of rationalizing things that aren’t true. And yeah, that’s right, but that fact isn’t enough to condemn ever trusting one’s reasoning ability. If anything it’s an argument for honing your reasoning ability so that you can do your best to avoid falling into the trap of rationalizing your misconceptions and clinging onto them.
“You don’t get your doctrine from reason. It doesn’t work.”
It’s literally impossible to get it from anywhere else. Oh, God gave you your doctrine? How do you know? Try to answer that question without reasoning anything. You can’t, and your doctrine – even if it does come directly from God – is entirely dependent on your ability to reason that it was God who gave it to you. Why are you even trying to reason with people if reason isn’t trustworthy? How do you know that when you say this –
“You will always insert whatever it is you wanted to believe in the first place.”
– that you’re not doing this exact same thing yourself?
“Every journey to find truth starts at its conclusion and walks backwards.”
This is the single most retarded sentence I think I have ever heard. You can’t even argue this claim without violating its premise, because should you ever convince someone that it’s true then you’ve proven it false. I can’t continue listening.
Fifty thousand years of Paganism, sixteen hundred years of christianity. They’re more pagans today then there has been in the last thousand years, and that’s with the suppression. The right wing that did nothing for us and wasted fifty years was christian.
