Listener requested topic! Let’s go over a video from Trent Horn on the supposed “one question” that us Protestants can’t answer – who is a Christian? – and play the uno reverse card to see if Rome can answer it themselves.

The tetralogy of Scripture Alone, Faith Alone or Faith & Works has a long tradition of debate.
At this stage of my surprisingly long life, I like things that are simple.
The 4th way is Tithes Alone. Try it on for size, a tetralemma instead of trilemma.
Tithe +10% of your pre-tax earnings routinely and more than that on special occasions, projects, drives, initiatives, holidays, anniversaries, etc.
You _WILL_ be welcome at any congregation.
You will be expected to return and counted on to come as often as feasible.
The only criticisms you may face are from the competitors. This is not any different from the Superlutheran’s ideas (and situation). Some of the highly competitive soul-saving providers will criticize you for a poor judgment or a poor taste, but these errors will be instantly forgiven and forgotten once you sit in the proper pew.
You will be a Christian, for certain. That is my answer.
This approach distills the cubic yards of musty tomes and miles of parchment scrolls to its essence.
What say you, Superlutheran?
Trent Horn (for me) is not palatable in larger portions. True to his ethnoroots, he would eloquently and eruditely advise and critique some “factions” of Christendom. But on one thing he will remain 100% unbendable. The Lord hath needs (Luke 19:31) and you have the resources. That’s why the engine has worked for a long, long time.
It’s ok, you can become Catholic. You can remain Super. You are already poking around the catacombs. That’s as ancient as the Church fathers you can get. It’s not your fault. It’s your ancestors 500 years ago that rejected authority. Come home brother. Cross the Tiber. My hand is reaching out to welcome you.
My goodness, I must have struck a nerve, it is unfortunately all too easy to misread a posting.
May I clarify:
– I am utterly 100% calm and 99% serious
– I have never been hurt by a greedy church
– I have NOT called you a grifter (and I still do not).
That being said, your refutation fails as its strongest (actually, sole) point is to advise me to shove sand into the tail end of my alimentary tract. (Not an exact wording).
My take on the Original Post “Who Is A Christian” is merely “a congregant in good standing”. Someone who submits natural blessing to The Lord’s administration here on Earth. Then and only then The Lord reciprocates by supernatural blessing, once conditions are met and He finds it pleasing.
Have I gotten that wrong? Is it the other way around?
Wherein am I mistaken?
