Stories about cults in general are like crack, there’s always demand for them. Redlyne on youtube has some interesting videos on cults. The dude barely posts and has +300k subscribers, it’s nuts.
Accusations of “blackpilling” have existed in various forms for a while now. While the accusation of pessimism might be hurled around too often nowadays, it’s good to be critical of pessimism. If pessimism takes root, it leads to a life where no action is taken. I love Yockey’s takedown of optimism/pessimism/heroism in Imperium, it contrasts pessimism/optimism well, and gives a middle path between the two, where you are aware of the risks, but are not so discouraged you do nothing.
I’m okay with critique of Trump, but I think most critiques take the right’s knowledge of real politique and hurls them out the window. Like Magnus though, I’m a trooster, so feel free to take my view with a grain of salt.
How many cases have there been of cult-leaders admitting that the whole thing is made up? I can’t think of any others, that to me seems uncommon for cults.
