We are gazing over the abyss at another brother war, another chapter in the long unfortunate story of European civil wars. One may say that this side or that side is justified, and one may comfort himself that the fighting will be over soon, or will not be as fierce as it could be.
Let it be unmistakable, that we, the proud Amerikaners who feed and support this tottering empire are removing our blinders. We can no more hate our brothers and sisters in the old world any more than the left hand can hate the right. We gain nothing from killing one another, only the loss of more lives and the destruction of more families at a time when our people are in danger of extinction by forces hostile to us.
Make no mistake, every war is a war against children. In the cleanest of conflicts, it takes away their fathers and brothers. In this age, war means the death of civilians, including children, as a matter of course. Those that are not killed by stray bullets or by falling bombs, missiles, or shells face starvation, disease, and upheaval unlike any that few among us in American can imagine. No matter who wins the battle for the Ukraine, the ordinary people will be the ones who suffer while the politicians and oligarchs of the country are free to escape their devastated land and subjects just as the so-called leaders of Afghanistan did.
There are many layers of ambiguity swirling around the conflict, and issues of personality and perspective can cloud judgment. One does not need to possess intimate knowledge of the Kremlin or to untangle centuries of Eastern European history to come to a simple conclusion, however. Nothing is to be gained by Amerikaners throwing their lives away over the conflict in the Ukraine. One dead Amerikaner or a million would not change the reality in Ukraine, which only the Ukrainians and the Russians can, and must, build for themselves.
Our rulers on the Potomac have denigrated us and abused us. They corrupt our children and destroy livelihoods, with the goal of tearing families apart and ending the beautiful creation of new life. They do all of this and strike us down when we protest over the measliest of infractions. Our rulers hate us, and now they insult us by expecting us to rally to the flag which they’ve soiled, to the symbols which they have torn down, and to the government which they have used as a weapon against us.
No, no Amerikaner shall kill his brothers for his oppressors. No Amerikaner shall die for his oppressors. We will not give them the satisfaction. We will not make this fight any easier for them. Nor will we hate the Ukrainian or the Russian as a people. For too long our people have been the regime’s loyal attack dogs, but no longer.
Let us put aside our divisive pride and convoluted analyses and say as one: Long live Russia! Long live Ukraine! And long live the Amerikaners!
