Thanks for having me on Gordon! I look forward to posting songs and producing my show.
Music is my life, I love listening to it, playing it, recording it, and talking about it. I’m willing to collaborate with any of our guys on just about anything music related. Please feel free to email me anytime about anything we discussed or with any ideas you may have. Be well everyone.

I had never thought of the ‘parody song’ being in the same vein as the borrowing of melodies from older songs, like Iris republican music of the US national anthem, but it’s true. A lot of mass-produced bullshit has wormed it’s way into our culture and parodies are a way of owning it. “The Star-Spangled Banner” is a ‘parody’ of “The Anacreontic Song.”
Gordon is spot-on in saying that one needs a people from which to draw those cultural elements that can be recombined to make something new. Hopefully someday I’ll be able to record some music; I’ve been playing all my life and at this point it might be the only thing I’ll ever be a true master of. My life is so busy right now I really don’t have any time to devote to getting a recording setup set up, but later this year I hopefully will. Nathaniel’s future music podcast sounds right up my alley, and once I’m not working 60-70 hours a week, I’d like to get involved.
The Irish War of Independence is the quintessential example of a political struggle that drew power from music; ethnic collective identity and civil disobedience by Irish within the UK were major factors, but the huge body of Republican music really reveals some of the down-home roots to their solidarity. Unsurprising, considering that the Celts are the most musical of all races (it’s true!) but even more impressive considering that they had all but completely lost their language, which would have been a death-blow to any lesser ethnie.
As WN music moves away from the very inaccessible black metal and hardcore punk that defined it’s past as a fringe revolutionary ideology, it moves into more folkish, homey, accessible territory, like the movement itself becomes less fringe and more family-oriented, more rooted in our real heritage.
P.S. The outro song was excellent!
Awesome comment! I hope I didn’t come across as being negative towards the parody’s and covers we have. I love them, I support them, and if that’s what our people are inspired to do then they absolutely should! An homage, or tribute, or rendition is in my opinion something entirely different although maybe compositional/structurally similar. For myself, these types of songs harness and acknowledge the spirit of our people either as individual tribes (The Irish) or as the collective whole.(Amerikaners)
I feel your pain with the insane demand of a long work week. It’s one of the reasons I took so long to finally commit to doing what I’m doing now. I hope you can find the time to sit down and start recording though, and I will always be willing and able to help and collaborate with my own projects or yours! Depending on what you want to record you may be closer than you think. If it’s acoustic material in particular a halfway decent mic, and some trial and error with recording and mixing and you’ll be on your way. I’m glad you enjoyed the song, and I hope you enjoy the show. I believe I have what I need and the help I need to get it started very shortly. Be well man!
