In this episode, SuperLutheran and Myles take on the subversive and subtle heresy of Jesuism, or reducing Christianity to solely the red-letter words of Jesus of Nazareth.

Schizo heresy?
Dreams?
JonTron?
Oh yeah, we’ve got a certified banger here
Love the show!
The “Witchtest-Question” is a fun meme but I really hope nobody actually takes it srsly since I know a lot of vile people that can say all kinds of “Jesus is the son of god, risen on the 3rd day, and our lord and savior” stuff without breaking a sweat.
I even I do it from time to time as an unbaptised guy when dealing with christians to just get along for work related stuff.
Btw, that Matt from guy from Quantum of Conscience is posting his new “Book” currently.
He is my favorite schizo and I think he has potential to become very popular because he pushes a kind of spirituality that puts the conscious person as the center of it all without any strict rules or organization, with a focus on “inner knowing”.
This also opens up a lot of space for people to, in lack of a better word, “cling” to different believes, avoiding the whole conflict WN’s have with f.e. Christianity regarding who can be seen as a “human” n’ stuff.
Oh and another cool thing is that he also posits the point that there is an “adversary” something like “Satan” wich is also very important because it avoids the tendency of being all hippy dippy like other religious systems of believe.
There are of course many other interesting points he makes but man, a deep dive on him and his takes would be wild, even wilder then a potential Johny Monoxide episode tbh.
PS: Yes, he is cringe from time to time and wrong about tribal people / non western people but he is also an old guy that grew up on hollywood movies, I’ll cut him some slack.
PPS: I could post his “reality in a half page” here but I’m lazy. His first chapter of his new “Unnamed Reality Book” should do the trick tho.
I want to point out here that it is perfectly correct to recognize the final and unfailing credibility and authority of Christ in every sense.
Which actually *increases upon* the credibility of those servants He endorsed: Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and many others. Not every single prophet is mentioned in the gospels, but most (perhaps all) of the books of the canonical Old Testament can be supported by this credibility that is contingent upon Christ.
As for Paul – he can be judged by his endorsement by Peter, when he was mentioned by him, but chiefly by his concordance with the teachings of Christ. What Peter said of Paul is true, his words are easily twisted. Even accidentally. Imagine the pressure of being a redeemed “chief of sinners” charged with preaching the gospel so voluminously after and in comparison to the One Messiah Who had just been taken up to His throne.
Regarding Paul’s vision, he is not recorded saying to anyone “come out and see!” Rather he taught a gospel delivered to Him in a Manner that comports with what Christ said:
“When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will convict the world in regard to sin, righteousness and judgment”
So it’s not as if Christ can be read “too closely.” Like all other things, errors are the result of lies and avarice.
As a psychotic Romanian gypsy I am obligated to disagree with this premise
