Wow, you can really tell Super cares about Myles. How many friends would be bold enough to hold an intervention like this in such a public setting?
If I may – I have some serious questions for you – I wonder – are you willing to answer them?
# If there arises a problem in how to understand certain things – serious ‘theological’ problems…
1 – Do you consider and accept Jesus Christ as the highest authority – or rabbi Saul/’St’ Paul ?
(about whom we all know this story about how he completely changed into Paul, became a newborn person by his spiritual experience on the way to Damascus? Enlightenment through the Holy Spirit by hearing Jesus’ voice speaking to him… Neither did Saul/Paul ever meet Jesus Christ in person nor did he ever bother to meet one or all of his disciples in order to learn from them… He even seemed to look down on them… they were fishermen while he was a haughty rabbi Saul… who was one of the most hateful persecutors of the first Christians, torturing them to death?)
2 – Would you rather tend to accept Jesus Christ as the authority above all – or would you put your trust in Paul and his teachings? (a ‘Jew’ or what/who was he ethnically? who changed his name from Saul to Paul – because he had become a new person, all his ill meaning inner attitudes changed… or in order to ingratiate himself to the Christians, to more easily infiltrate their communities and change/subvert them from inside out… That is what Jews do… We do know that from experience, right? Hence – Would you rather be extremely careful… or totally naive and full of trust?)
The most serious basic questions…
3 – How taught Jesus about REDEMPTION?
4 – And what did Saul/Paul (who never met Jesus Christ in person but persecuted HIS followers, the first Christians to deliver them to death) teach?
5 – IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO?
6 – WHAT DIFFERENCE MIGHT THAT BE?
1. The highest authority is God, whom Paul never contradicts. You seem to be under some very serious false impressions about Paul. He met with several of the Apostles, not the least of whom were Peter and James the brother of Jesus, both of whom gave Paul their stamp of approval.
2. There’s no disagreements between Paul and the rest of Scripture. Peter says Paul is difficult to understand, but that doesn’t indicate a contradiction. Paul wasn’t out to “subvert” the church. If he was, I doubt he’d settle for being a travelling tent repairer who got repeatedly battered and arrested, and was eventually beheaded.
3. Gonna need some more context on this one, but Christ’s messages was the reconciliation between man and God.
4. Paul doesn’t contradict Scripture.
5. No.
6. There are no differences between Paul’s teaching and Jesus’s.
Paul’s teachings are Jesus teachings because he wrote them. Before you’re rabbi these were Pagan concepts. You simply lifted what your limited intellects could carry and torched the rest right. That’s why you torched all of our european libraries, right. You had to cut the people off in their roots. That’s what you want to chop down trees right. It’s about disconnecting us from our ancestors. It’s about instituting your alien god in place of our ancestors of our fathers. Others gonna be a price tag to pay for saying s***Like the earth is only six thousand years old. When our ancestors had our own god and our own faith in our own way of life for 3 hundred thousand years Before the quote un quote god of the universe showed up.
It’s hilarious isn’t that varg murdered one of your God’s servants, a Christian and look at that? He got all the rewards in this life That you assholes pine for. Makes you wonder right his absence is slightly odd isn’t it?
Thanks – for giving an answer. For a start…
1 – Yes, of course the highest authority is God – a statement which is true – but it does not clearly answer my question… i.e. does not put away and silence my doubts abouts Saul/Paul!! As you see, Jesus Christ IS without any doubts from my spiritual experience… Jesus’ teachings, HIS actual words ARE truly like pure water coming RIGHT FROM THE SOURCE… most refreshing and life saving for the wanderer in the desert… truly the bread from Heaven feeding and nourishing you in body and spirit – Jesus: “I AM the bread … “, and the obligation (Jesus’ Testament) to break the bread in community, to share HIS words (teachings) given to us while he was among us… …
2 – Yes, there are LOTS OF DIFFERENCES between Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul !! How Jesus went about and interacted with people, in particular with women of all kinds – how differently he looked upon them, how differently he treated them, in a healing way, not judgemental – in comparison to the rabbis and society around … … Saul’s/Paul’s teachings brought about most decisive changes… Are you not aware of that fact? No awareness what these changes were about?
3 – REDEMPTION – Yes, it is about the RECONCILIATION between man and God. The point is: HOW is that supposed to happen? The teachings of Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul differ in that respect, most drastically…
4 – The question is: What specifically did Paul teach about REDEMPTION? – You say “Paul doesn’t contradict Scripture” – My question is: Does Paul contradict Jesus’ teachings? And my conclusion is: YES, he does. He may have had his reasons in order to explain to the Judahites why no more ritual animal sacrifices were necessary… but by doing so Paul changed the meaning of Jesus’ teaching: “Take up your cross and FOLLOW ME… … ” – Did he not?
5 – You say NO? You cannot see the differences between Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul’s teaching/s?
6 – A difference in teaching with regard to REDEMPTION which is most crucial… … It has caused heated discussions among theologians… is the cause of deep mortifications… and also of ridiculous accusations (about an alleged “spiritual or even ACTUAL cannibalism”) made towards the Christian belief from outsiders… …
>Yes, there are LOTS OF DIFFERENCES between Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul !!
Such as?
>The teachings of Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul differ in that respect, most drastically…
In what ways?
>Did he not?
No.
>You cannot see the differences between Jesus Christ and Saul/Paul’s teaching/s?
There are none. Paul affirmed Christ’s teachings, he didn’t contradict them.
>6 – A difference in teaching with regard to REDEMPTION which is most crucial…
I’m not a mind reader. You can’t make vague references to something you’re thinking and expect me to understand. Lay out your case more clearly and completely, please.
Well, well… I have thought you know the Bible better than I do, the New Testament as most decisive for Christians – I am truly at a loss at your claim that you cannot understand what I am talking about – – Well then, I would suggest – let it be… I am not in the mood of writing a “wallpaper” thesis here about the pros and cons of “Opfertheologie” (in German) PLEASE look it up what the English term is – maybe that helps you to finally understand what I am hinting at… a most crucial difference to Jesus Christ’s (most demanding) teachings (about the narrow path – the way back to God)
