“Hurl me into the water and let me die!” (Jonah) – Here it is again – the view that a human sacrifice may placate the storm, God’s wrath…
And here is the truth: THEN Jonah prayed to the Lord, his God – from the belly of the fish – from the deepest depths of his heart… it is called HEART PRAYER – Jonah was beginning to drown… and THEN he prayed, he called out to the Lord for SALVATION… and God heard his prayer and SAVED him… that’s the kind of sacrifice God wants to receive… God’s spirit speaks into the heart: “TRUST ME… HAND YOURSELF OVER TO ME”
You mean it is about obedience –
To my experience it is about trust… deliverance, nothing held back –
Repentance is always a part of that change of the heart –
God’s mercy is not given for free – not easy at all. HAVING TRUST IN GOD is like a free fall … trusting to be falling into God’s hands… kept and saved.
I have a request:
I need a list with common theories about how each miracle in the new testament was faked.
Stuff like ” The wedding of canna where Jesus turned Water into wine by means of using specific roman vinegar soaked sponges”
or “How Jesus faked his death by taking some special herbs n’ stuff”
Oh and what the point of all of those “fake miracles” were, other than the retarded Adam Green take how the long nose tribe wanted to have a controlled opposition by inventing Christianity
I’m asking because I need to make a presentation rebuking such common anti-christian, atheist talking points and I don’t want to consume a bunch of very cringe media for inspiration.
Maybe you even have an episode in the archives already where you debunk the most basic bitch criticism of biblical events that you could kindly link?
