In this episode, SuperLutheran and Myles examine Hell. We go over what it is, the geography thereof, the biblical data, and briefly explain a doctrine of Hell, and emphasize that you most definitely don’t want to go there. After the break, we read your emails.

The “Doctrine of Heaven & Hell” as I understand Jesus himself:
He spoke about many different places in Heaven prepared and waiting for us – There is Purgatory (are we in purgatory here on earth?), and there is Hell, the burning and suffering in a lake of fire in eternity for the totally unrepentant – demonic creatures who keep loathing and mocking God… committing the sin against the Holy Spirit which cannot be forgiven…
Those who created hell for others here on earth are going to find themselves in Hell; they have already judged themselves (!) by what they have done to others… It is called justice.
To me it seems only logical that the condition the soul is in at the time of death decides upon where the soul will find itself, in what kind of otherworldly dimension: in some level of Heaven (light, peace, sublime delight), or Purgatory (agony, dispair, darkness, greyness) – or Hell (torture, pain, molested by the ugliest demons). What people tell about what they experienced while they were near to death or were revived shortly after they had died… seem to testify to that…
To me that sounds perfectly logical – fair – and just. How could it be any different? There is seldom any justice to be found in this dimension, there has to be justice in the next dimension. Otherwise, all of it would be an extremely bad joke…
At 00:05:40 Super Luteran gives the doctrinal understanding of {Hiffel} (that bad bad place where you definitely don’t want to be):
“H311 is where those who do not belong to God go when they die”.
This sounds important. And also clear.
But also SO CONFUSING!!!
People go there? Or the souls of people go there?
I suppose the next episode, Heaven, will be “Heaven is the place where those who belong to God go after death occurs”. Same question. Do people go there or do their souls go there.
I’ve re-listened to the ep after listener questions.
Not once do you say “souls go to hell”. It is always “people go to hell”.
For $3 bidenbucks on the gumroad, this show is a solid value. None of the God dealerships in my zipcode would have that price point in their doctrine.
I am overdue for the back catalog. First to find would be the episode on the Holy Spirit. I think the original RC church (before so many transgressions that justly prompted Luther to go the other way) said that there is but one unpardonable sin, and that is to deny the Holy Spirit.
How do you feel about the Holy Spirit?
After death, there is no meaningful distinction between person and soul. They are one and the same, bound in the same substance. Whether that substance gets called up to Heaven or flung down to Hell, it remains indivisible for all eternity. It won’t be your physical Earthly body, of course, but that scarcely matters.
Hello Godcast crew.
I have a bunch of questions n stuff:
What is Supers take on Mike Mentzer ?
There are free audio tapes (about 3-4hours) where he talks about some fun stuff about A. Rand wich is just hilarious and then he goes into his theory of high intensity training.
I loosely follow his routine and can now bench-press +60kgs or +130lbs and will most likely hit my own bodyweight of 75kgs or 165lbs in like 2 months.
I really enjoy the aspect of fully resting body parts and then doing few very exhausting reps that cause me to aggressively exhale swearwords by the last rep.
The only problem is to find a good home gym high intensity exercise for my abs and a good substitute for squads since my knees aren’t that great since i once was a 10km runner and have a job where I’m walking/standing for 8hours straight on most days.
Oh and any tips on how to achieve dummy thiccness? My butt needs to be strong and meaty because I’d recon that more meat results in a better time sitting down on wooden furniture.
Another question would be if there would ever be deep dive on Matt from a quantum of conscience since that guy is the ultimate intersection between conspiracy enjoyers (even getting shout outs on the paranormies) , boomers, New age spirituality and lapsed christians. He has some horrible takes regarding indigenous people / race and is sometimes very cringeworthy but all in all he’s pretty much on the cutting edge of a new, independent kind of spirituality that builds on concepts from books featured on the masterkey society like the Kybalion?, the secret of the ages, etc … different post modern sentiments, a general burnout from life / religion/ media / conspiracy stuff and other aspects that come from living in a age of hyper selfawarenes and deconstruction of everything.
I can also see a burnout from the pressure of having an opinion on everything as a source of inspiration since all those believes also incorperate a huge amount of simply accepting that it’s kinda impossible to really know “truth” or even stuff in general, other then the most basic biological reality one can observe …
The mentioned masterkey society is also wild since it shows just how old those ideas featured in books like “the art of money-getting (1882)” really are and how they pretty much all cite scripture.
I one of those books there is even fun escalation from “the kindom of heaven is the power of imagination/belive” to “Jesus is that imagination/fantasy/power of belive” to “through imagination/power of belive you can become god” all based on out of context bible quotes. Fun stuff.
I also have the take that those old kinds of books / ideas had a focus on getting all kinds of worldly power / wealth because in the past it was way easier to be rich in western nations like the USA but now everyone is pretty much destined to be broke so all the spiritual goals are a good cope to ease in people into the often memed pod.
Oh and I don’t use a real email here so i will never get a notification in my mailbox so yeah if this comment is commented on the show i will most likely catch it but don’t expect a response in this comment section
