(No affront intended but) Americans in general seem to live quite an isolated life on their vast North American continent knowing very little about the world outside, even about Europe and (*true*) European history, the continent where their ancestors came from. There are young adventurous Americans who want to travel and see the world; some re-migrate back into Europe to live the different European life style there. One example is the Black Forest family. Their ancestors were farmers in Northern Germany who migrated to America to become farmers in Illinois… Their gran-granchildren have to re-learn the German language (not spoken in America any more – why not?), full of wonder about the things they did know nothing about. A most exciting adventure for them, for sure…
