This past week I attended a Turning Point USA event titled ‘Unapologetically American’ at the NDSU campus in Fargo, North Dakota.
I heard about the event only two days prior on the radio program ‘What’s On Your Mind’ (WOYM) hosted by Neocon, Scott Hennen. The only other announcement made was via email a week after the event had taken place.
The NDSU administration handles all event scheduling and email notifications.
The event was open to the public and to be attended by Scott Hennen and the 3 TPUSA speakers;
Former Miss MO 2015 Aria Adare Parker, who holds a degree in Product Development and International Business. Taylor Winston a former marine vet, owner of ‘2A Daddy’ a pro 2nd Amendment advocacy group, and who is credited with saving almost two dozen people at the Las Vegas shooting.
And the final speaker, Anthony Watson, a Black guy.
Turning Point USA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote freedom. They claim to have the support of 80,000+ grassroots patriots and that they impact millions of students on campus and online. They also, according to founder Charlie Kirk, want the freedom to “staple green cards to the back of diplomas.”
Like TPUSA, the WOYM radio show also has the false pretense of being on our side.
Kirk has taken over for the late Rush Limbaugh, airing just after the WOYM program in lieu of Chris Berg, a much more popular and local figure.
Arriving at the event and after having met some of the organizers and speakers we all took our seats and waited through some technical difficulties to hear the first speaker via Zoom, Taylor Winston.
Big nose, not that it matters…
During the Las Vegas shooting Taylor had stolen a truck to save as many people as he did by rushing them to the hospital. He made several trips. His hometown of San Diego wanted to name a holiday after him because of his heroism. He suggested they name it ‘Unsung Hero Day’ as there were others besides him who acted heroically, he told us.
He seemed like a genuine fellow. Sort of.
Being the first speaker when the Q&A section came around most seemed apprehensive to ask a question. I raised my hand and asked about the progress of 2A groups in regards to protecting not only people’s right to own and carry firearms but to use them in self defense.
Setbacks on things like bump stocks and solvent traps are rare but get a fair amount of discussion from 2A groups and pushback on politicians. This kind of pushback isn’t happening for cases like the Rittenhouse or McMichaels trial. The judicial system maliciously treats those willing to act in self defense.
To his credit Taylor seemed to understand the situation very well but gave a very unsatisfactory solution. He plugged the USCCA, which seems well meaning but very individualistic and exploitative in its approach.
As with all insurance companies in this system; it’s not a political solution. Economic and legalistic solutions like these amount to nothing more than mob tactics.
“Be a shame if something happened to you. I can make that go away for a small fee.”
Also you get to be on a honey pot list, so that’s nice.
The next speaker was beauty pageant winner Aria Adare Parker, a trap to trick even the most ardent nationalists into wanting to staple diplomas to green cards…
Parker gave a confusing speech about the need for more localism, rejecting modern politics, and girls getting involved, I guess to merely hold office while doing nothing.
Parker mentioned her father had been a lawyer in the Obama administration and that they would occasionally attend luncheons with him. When she was 14, Obama laughed in her face for eating something that tasted gross while her dad scolded her for appearing to want to spit it out. She made a funny joke about how Obama left a bad taste in her mouth.
Absent father. GOP member. Told a funny joke. That’s no lady, fellas.
One of the few questions asked to Parker was by a young lady sitting next to me. She had mentioned that it seems like most women vote liberal and she was wondering how best to get along with them. Parker suggested never engaging with them. Very conservative.
After the conversation had moved on I had privately encouraged the opposite to the young lady telling her to be confident and just to be herself.
Finally the based black guy got his turn to speak. He asked trivia questions and handed out candy.
According to the Team USA website for junior Olympians, he is several inches taller than in real life at a squat maybe 5’ 6”. I had a chance to speak with him and he is smol.
According to the totally real bio on the website, other than being a very round, and very short, Junior Summer Olympic sprinter turned aspiring Winter Olympian in the Skeleton event, he is also a professional singer/ songwriter with music on iTunes (I couldn’t find it), he wrote his own TV show series he hopes will air one day, AND he is an actor and a model.
Kinda crazy, right? I want to believe.
There is something shady about the higher up individuals at TPUSA for sure, but I also think the young folks locally are well meaning, proving that by allowing me to ask the final question.
Ultimately my question was about the TPUSA’s stance on the use of Civil Rights law in regards to attacks on White children from anti-White Critical Race Theory (CRT).
I referenced a discussion I had on the radio with the Chairman of the NDGOP Perrie Schafer where he agreed with me that the bill they passed banning CRT in North Dakota doesn’t go far enough, making him look like an idiot.
TPUSA’s based black guy look equally stupid.
He was looked to by Parker to field the question. Other than completely dodging the topic on civil rights, of course, he gave a satisfactory enough answer in that he granted CRT is targeting White kids, though not explicitly. He also noted that not toning it back will create “a monster”.
I wasn’t there to debate but his answer was full of contradictions. One being he claimed CRT creates a level of suspicion between one race (Whites) and the others and that’s bad but he, or perhaps TPUSA itself, seems suspicious of Whites if we were to take our own side and stand up for our civil rights.
Who is the monster?
Everyone in the room could see him shucking and jiving around the question. Blacks are performative. I’ll give them that.
If it’s TPUSA’s stance that CRT will be around in 10 years under a different name, presumably because they don’t intend on doing anything about it, Why should anyone support TPUSA?
Isn’t CRT just rebranded Civil rights law? The speaker seemed to unconsciously understand this and that CRT/ Civil Rights Law has always been an attack on White people.
Addressing White Civil Rights will make whatever they do in 10 years impossible. TPUSA doesn’t want it to stop though.
Why not ask the majority White Scandinavian countries with social safety nets what their standard of living is like instead of looking at Indian reservations?
As a funny aside, I got an ironic Duganist vibe from Watson at one point. While addressing an all White crowd he gave an example of a negative outcome of CRT where he pointed out when we get older we realize our White friends are actually Asian.
I wanted to go to learn more about the local group and the speakers of the event. Viewing TPUSA as more of a controlled opposition tactic by DC types to distract well meaning young people in flyover country, I think it’s important that their contradictory political ideas be challenged in person and in a civil manner. I wanted to get their noggins joggin’.
What if Rittenhouse had shot a black man like the McMichaels did?
What if addressing White civil rights will help women? White women?
What if we stopped accepting the left’s premises on everything including whether or not race is real?
During the meeting leftists had stolen the TPUSA chapter’s American flag. After, I overheard a conversation about filing a campus and police report.
What if the right didn’t feel the need to get the cops involved and got their own flag back?
What if TPUSA didn’t preach slavish devotion to liberalism while going the speed limit?
We are at a turning point in this country. We need to head in the right direction towards what’s good for White people. Forward, to what’s best for the Amerikaners, and that means we have to be in the driver’s seat.
While I Was leaving campus, I saw someone had put up some Patriot Front flyers.
Keep driving it home, fellas. Happy Trails.
Great article Chief. Now you got to put a youngling in Aria Dare. Make her a future Miss Amerikaner.
